The church today is focused on Heaven.  We look for our eternal home being prepared for us by Christ (John 14:1-4).  We long to be reunited with our loved ones and we marvel at the streets of gold, the throne of God and God wiping away all tears. 

 

What we so often overlook though, is the coming Kingdom of Christ that preceded our eternal state in Heaven.  Please understand, if we die we are immediately with Christ, "absent from the body; present with the Lord".  When the rapture of the church takes place - we will indeed be taken up to Heaven.  Heaven is our next step - but that is all in anticipation of the Judgement Seat of Christ, the Marriage of the Lamb and the Marriage feast.  THEN, we will all return with Christ at the battle of Armageddon and will be with Christ as He sets up His reign upon earth.

There is a literal 1000 year reign with Christ upon the throne of David in Jerusalem as He established His kingdom and returns to the earth to a pre-sin curse state.  Here we will look at the vast amount of information within the Word of God as we look forward to this time.
